Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has announced his defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the Allied Peoples Movement (APM).
Mohammed made the declaration on Saturday at the Government House in Bauchi, where he appeared alongside APM National Chairman, Yusuf Dantalle.
The governor said members of the PDP loyal to the Tanimu Turaki-led executives were also joining him in the move.
The defection followed an expanded stakeholders’ meeting held behind closed doors earlier in the day.
Until his exit, Mohammed served as chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum.
