President Bola Tinubu has appointed the Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University Oye Ekiti in Ekiti State, Professor Abayomi Sunday Fasina, as a non-career ambassador.
The President has also forwarded his details to the Nigerian Senate for confirmation.
This was made known during plenary on Wednesday by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, who read the letter to that effect from President Tinubu.
The President, in his letter, said the request is in line with the provisions of the Nigerian constitution and urged the lawmakers to expeditiously confirm the request
